Since 2004, I have lectured at various Further and Higher Education establishments, to Media students of varying Courses including:
Salisbury College of Art - 'Taster' Course in Film/TV industry. 3 day Course ("Directing/Camera Sound") to which I contributed Documentary Sound to 16year olds..
Eastleigh College of Further Education - Visiting Lecturer: "Documentary Sound Recording" to 'A' Level Media students.
Bournemouth University - Visiting Lecturer: "The Role of a Documentary Sound Recordist" - a series of lectures to BA students (ref: Lizzie Sykes). Similar session for MA students (ref: Trevor Hearing).
Solent University - Guest Lecture: "The Role of a Documentary Sound Recordist" - a series of lectures to BA students (ref: Tony Moon).
de Montfort University - Guest Lecture: "Sound in Documentary" - a presentation to MSc Radio/Music/TV Production students. Also a series of 6 lectures within BSc Course (Sound) (Sep 09). (ref: Justin Davey)
Portsmouth University - Part time Staff Lecturer: series of 6 lectures within BA Level 1 Sound Module TV & Film Production (ref: Ben Thompson). Also 2 Master Class sessions with L3 BA students. Coming in 09 - series of 6 lectures to BSc (TV Production) (ref: Gary Brown).
The Lectures/teaching experiences, coupled with my experience as a Documentary/Location Sound Recordist, has resulted in Jump TV Training. Jump is aimed at those leaving Education, who want to get hands-on experience of Industry-level kit, guided by active Film/TV practitioners, in a Master Class environment.
